Oleh karena itu, Menguasai Teknologi akan sangat bermanfaat bagi kita. Universitas Budi luhur dikenal sebagai Kampus Teknologi Informasi. memiliki Fakultas Teknologi Informasi ( FTI).

Akademi Ilmu Komputer Budi Luhur yang berdiri sejak 1979 merupakan cikal bakal Fakultas Teknologi Informasi Universitas Budi Luhur, pionir dalam bidang pendidikan informatika dan komputer. Mulai tahun 2000 yang merupakan tonggak masuknya milenium III, Fakultas Teknologi Informasi Universitas Budi Luhur memiliki komitmen untuk menghasilkan tenaga profesional di bidang Informatika dan Komputer, yang berbudi luhur, inovatif dan ber-adaptasi terhadap teknologi agar mampu bersaing di pasar global.

A group of frogs were traveling through the woods, and two of them fell into a deep pit. When the other frogs saw how deep the pit was, they told the two frogs that they were as good as dead. 
The two frogs ignored the comments and tried to jump up out of the pit with all their might. The other frogs kept telling them to stop, that they were as good as dead. Finally, one of the frogs took heed to what the other frogs were saying and gave up. He fell down and died.
The other frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs yelled at him to stop the pain and just die. He jumped even harder and finally made it out. When he got out, the other frogs said, “Did you not hear us?” The frog explained to them that he was deaf. He thought they were encouraging him the entire time.

Moral: There is power of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is down can lift them up and help them make it through the day. So be careful of what you say. Speak life to those who cross your path. The power of words… it is sometimes hard to understand that an encouraging word can go such a long way.
Textbooks in Israel and Palestinia schools generally describes the conflict unilaterally and ignoring the existence of both sides, as revealed in a study.
In the Israeli-Palestinian public relations wars, it’s conventional wisdom that the textbooks used in schools in the West Bank and Gaza breed hatred for Israel. “They have textbooks that say, ‘If there are 13 Jews and nine Jews are killed, how many Jews are left?” Newt Gingrich said when he was running for the Republican presidential nomination. These textbooks don't give Palestinian children an education, they give them an indoctrination," Hillary Clinton said in 2007, when she was a New York senator, based on criticism from an Israeli media watchdog after the Palestinians produced their own full curriculum of text books for grades 1 through 12 for the first time. In 2011, an institute known as IMPACT-SE issued a report with similar findings.
The Curriculum in Elementary school ,Junior  High School  and Senior High School in Indonesia have not reached international standards, said Deputy Minister of Education and Culture, Musliar Kasim.
he said that The Curriculum which has been used so far is different with international standards so that less too far with other countries, such as Singapore or Taiwan.
 According to him, more than 95 percent of students in Singapore able to solve the questions in midle level and advanced level in every subject, while students in Indonesia are generally only able to answer the questions the basic level.
Therefore, The Ministry of Education has prepared curriculum for 2013 which change the previous curriculum that was used at schools.

One day, a 4-year-old boy, a little deaf and dumb in school, returned home carrying a piece of paper from his teacher. mother read the paper,

Tommy, your son, is very stupid. we ask you to remove it from the school.

Prof. DR. H. Djafar Ahiri: "System Change in National Examination, Government Efforts to Improve the Quality of Education"

By following these simple things, you are not only taking care of your eyes, but you will also have a pleasant atmosphere which indirectly keeps you healthy and increases your work efficiency.
Designing time playing with the kids is not easy for the parents whose time is getting narrower because of busy work. In fact, play is part of a child's development can not be removed just like that, especially early childhood, which is entering a golden age stage.

In the golden age (0-3) years children need a lot of stimulus to the nerves in the brain which growing so that intelligence can be optimal. In this age, proper activities will support the future development.

JAKARTA-The Government will change the curriculum in 2013 to emphasize the cognitive, affective, psychomotor through test-based assessment and portfolios which complement each other.
The new curriculum will be applied to all levels of education, from elementary school to high school or vocational education.

"Students for next year's subjects are no longer much to memorize, but more science-based curriculum," said Minister of Education and Culture Mohammad Nuh told reporters at the Office of the Vice President on Tuesday.

Nuh said that  the orientation of curriculum development in 2013 is the achievement of competence balance between attitudes, skills and knowledge, as well as a holistic way of learning and fun.  

For the elementary level, he said, currently there are 10 subjects that were taught, those are religious education, citizenship education, Indonesian language, math, science, social studies, arts and culture and skills, physical education and sports health, as well as local content and self-development.




One day a scientist wants to cross the sea to another island. He meets a Fisherman and ask  to bring the Scientist  to that island. And the Fisherman accept that.
In the Journey, the Scientist ( S ) ask many thing to The Fisherman ( F ).

S : Do you can read or write ?
F : No.
S : Oh poor you are, you lost a quarter of your life.hmm.., Do you know about marketing and trading?
F : No, i never learned that thing.
S : Oh man...poor you are, you lost a quarter of your life again.

The wind started to blow a bit firmer and higher waves but those things do not disturb their conversation.
The Scientist asks again to the Fisherman.
The weather got worse, the wind picked up and the waves is higher and higher. The boat churns up and down and shaking terrific. But both are still preoccupied with their conversation. And so, a variety of scientists asked the fisherman, and every question,  the fisherman answered "no" then the fraction of lives have been lost.

When the weather getting worst and boat is in uncontrolled situation. This boat will sink soon. In this bad situation the Fisherman ask to the Scientist.
F : Do you know how to swim ?
S : What ? No...
F : Oh how poor you are. You will lose whole of your life,

Our life is like sailing on the ocean, the waves hit, the wind and the heat of the sun and rain. If we do not have the knowledge that can save our journey, it will be gone the whole meaning of our lives. 

  
Religion is an organized collection of belief systems, cultural systems, and world views that relate humanity to spirituality and, sometimes, to moral values. Religius education is Teaching, learning about a particular religion. May be many people thought that its not important to be learned. They are always busy in their worldly activities. Why religius education ?A lot of people ask that thing. In moslem, religius education is an obligation. I will tell why its very important.

 If we realize and learn about our religion. May be we can control our emotion and anger, make us become patient and wise in our actions. Every religion teach about kindness,morality, and good interaction to other people. It can give us a good effect to our life, soul, and health also. It is the key for the success. “Can I see my baby?” the happy new mother asked.

When the bundle was nestled in her arms and she moved the fold of cloth to look upon his tiny face, she gasped. The doctor turned quickly and looked out the tall hospital window. The baby had been born without ears.
Time proved that the baby’s hearing was perfect. It was only his appearance that was marred. When he rushed home from school one day and flung himself into his mother’s arms, she sighed, knowing that his life was to be a succession of heartbreaks. He blurted out the tragedy. “A boy, a big boy … called me a freak.”
He grew up, handsome for his misfortune. A favorite with his fellow students, he might have been class president, but for that. He developed a gift, a talent for literature and music. “But you might mingle with other young people,” his mother reproved him, but felt a kindness in her heart. The boy’s father had a session with the family physician. Could nothing be done? “I believe I could graft on a pair of outer ears, if they could be procured,” the doctor decided.
Whereupon the search began for a person who would make such a sacrifice for a young man. Two years went by. Then, “You are going to the hospital, Son. Mother and I have someone who will donate the ears you need. But it’s a secret,” said the father. The operation was a brilliant success, and a new person emerged. His talents blossomed into genius, and school and college became a series of triumphs.
Later he married and entered the diplomatic service. “But I must know!” He urged his father, “Who gave so much for me? I could never do enough for him.” “I do not believe you could,” said the father, “but the agreement was that you are not to know … not yet.” The years kept their profound secret, but the day did come … one of the darkest days that a son must endure. He stood with his father over his mother’s casket. Slowly, tenderly, the father stretched forth a hand and raised the thick, reddish-brown hair to reveal that the mother had no outer ears. “Mother said she was glad she never let her hair be cut,” he whispered gently, “and nobody ever thought Mother less beautiful, did they?”
Real beauty lies not in the physical appearance, but in the heart. Real treasure lies not in what that can be seen, but what that cannot be seen. Real love lies not in what is done and known, but in what that is done but not known.
A cosmic god had a horse. The horse was beautiful and also it had many good qualities. But it wanted to be more perfect in every way. It especially wanted to become beauty unparalleled.
One day the horse said to the cosmic god, “0 Lord, you have given me beauty. You have given me other good qualities. I am so grateful to you. But how I wish you could make me more beautiful. I would be extremely, extremely grateful if you could make me more beautiful.”
The cosmic god said, “I am more than ready to make you more beautiful. Tell me in what way you want to be changed.”

 
 
The horse said, “It seems to me that I am not well proportioned. My neck is too short. If you can make my neck a little longer, my upper body will be infinitely more beautiful. And if you can make my legs much longer and thinner, then I will look infinitely more beautiful in my lower body.”
The cosmic god said, “Amen!” Then immediately he made a camel appear in place of the horse. The horse was so disheartened that it started to cry, “0 Lord, I wanted to become more beautiful. In what way is this kind of outer form more beautiful?”
The cosmic god said, “This is exactly what you asked for. You have become a camel.”
The horse cried, “Oh no, I do not want to become a camell I wish to remain a horse. As a horse, everybody appreciated my good qualities. Nobody will appreciate me as a camel.”
The cosmic god said, “Never try to achieve or receive more than I have given you. If you want to lead a desire-life, then at every moment you will want more and more. But you have no idea what the outcome will be. If you cry for a longer neck and legs, this is what will happen. Each thing in my creation has its own good qualities. The camel is not as beautiful as you are, but it carries heavy loads and has a tremendous sense of responsibility.
      One day, a poor boy who was selling goods from door to door to pay his way through school, found he had only one thin dime left, and he was hungry. He decided he would ask for a meal at the next house. However, he lost his nerve when a lovely young woman opened the door. 
Instead of a meal he asked for a drink of water. She thought he looked hungry so brought him a large glass of milk. He drank it slowly, and then asked, “How much do I owe you?” “You don’t owe me anything,” she replied. “Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness.” He said, “Then I thank you from my heart.”
As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Year’s later that young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease. Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes.
 Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room. Dressed in his doctor’s gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to the case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won. Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention on the side of the bill. She began to read the following words:

“Paid in full with one glass of milk”

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she was blind. She hated everyone, except her loving boyfriend. He was always there for her. She said that if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend.
One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she could see everything, including her boyfriend. Her boyfriend asked her, “now that you can see the world, will you marry me?”
The girl was shocked when she saw that her boyfriend was blind too, and refused to marry him. Her boyfriend walked away in tears, and later wrote a letter to her saying:

“Just take care of my eyes dear.”

This is how human brain changes when the status changed. Only few remember what life was before, and who’s always been there even in the most painful situations.
Google Glass (stylized simply as GLASS) is an augmented reality wearable computer with a head-mounted display (HMD) that is being developed by Google in the Project Glass research and development project. It takes a step further toward ubiquitous computing, which is the idea that the Internet and computers will be accessible anywhere at any time without having to use one's hands. Google Glass displays information in a smartphone-like format hands-free, can interact with the Internet via natural language voice commands,and uses Google's Androidoperating system


While the frames do not currently have lenses fitted to them, Google is considering partnering with sunglass retailers such as Ray-Ban or Warby Parker, and may also open retail stores to allow customers to try on the device.
Glass is being developed by Google X Lab, which has worked on other futuristic technologies such as driverless cars. The project was announced on Google+ by Project Glass lead Babak Parviz, an electrical engineer who has also worked on putting displays into contact lenses; Steve Lee, a project manager and "geolocation specialist"; and Sebastian Thrun, who developed Udacity as well as worked on the self-driving car project. Google has patented the design of Project Glass. Thad Starner is a Technical/Lead Manager on the project. Isabelle Olsson, Industrial Designer of the product, is responsible for a number of the design decisions, such as the Glass color scheme.

Almost 70 million children across the world are prevented from going to school each day, a study published today reveals.
Those living in north-eastern Africa are the least likely to receive a good education – or any education at all, an umbrella body of charities and teaching unions known as the Global Campaign for Education has found.
It ranks the world's poorest countries according to their education systems. Somalia has the least functional system in the world with just 10% of children going to primary school, while Eritrea is second worst.

Haiti, Comoros and Ethiopia fare almost as badly. Before Haiti's earthquake this year, just 50% of children went to primary school. Now that figure is said to have fallen. Some 2.5 million children were left without a school to go to after the earthquake.
The report's authors, from charities including Plan and ActionAid, measured the likelihood of children attending primary school, a country's political will to improve its education system, and the quality of its schools to create the rankings.

The study – Back to School? The Worst Places in the World – warns that attempts to ensure all children can attend school are under severe threat. By 2015, there will be more children out of school than there are today, unless the richest countries dramatically increase the aid they give to the poorest nations, the authors argue.
"Poor countries are on a worsening trajectory, as severe and deepening pressure from the economic downturn caused by the crisis of the rich world's banking system bites on their budgets," David Archer, one of the authors from ActionAid says. Some £2.9bn is expected to be lost to education budgets in sub-Saharan Africa because of the economic crisis, he warns.

Kenya, which is rated in the 50 worst countries for education, delayed plans to provide a free primary school education to 8.3 million children in September. The global economic crisis was one reason given for this.
Girls are far less likely to attend school than boys in many of the world's poorest countries, the authors have found. In Malawi, of those that enrol, 22.3% of boys complete primary compared to 13.8% of girls. In rural Burkina Faso, 61% of girls are married by the age of 18 and over 85% never get to see the inside of a secondary school.

Most rich countries have failed to keep their promises to help poor countries improve their education systems, according to the study. While the UK fares relatively well, along with the Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland and Ireland, others – such as Greece, Austria, Italy and Germany – are not giving nearly as much as they should.
The report argues that the International Monetary Fund "severely restricts" poor countries' chances of investing in education, while the World Bank has overseen a "dramatic withdrawal of education funds from low-income countries, especially in Africa".
